Attracting and Training Lay Volunteers and Adopting Safe Church Practices – Rev. Aracelis Vazquez Haye 

Aracelis Vazquez Haye is the Associate Pastor of the Church of the City a multi-ethnic congregation in New London, Connecticut where she has led and supervised youth ministries since 2006. Aracelis is also serving as a chaplain at Connecticut College and at the Waterford Country School and as a member of the New London Board of Education and the Board of Ignite CT Youth Fest. Aracelis holds a Master of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School with a special emphasis in youth and young adult ministry. Before attending Yale, Aracelis taught courses on social justice, diversity, and strategies for change at St. John’s University in New York and Connecticut College.
